The ICSS PhD Programme

The Institute incorporates a new, innovative, EPSRC-funded doctoral programme (we are an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Complex Systems Simulation). The programme will recruit 20 students per year. Ten of these will be fully funded through generous ICSS EPSRC studentships, with the remainder being funded either by a partner School within the University of Southampton, or independently.

The doctoral programme is four years in length, comprising a one-year taught component followed by a three-year research component, pursuing a research project that is chosen or even defined by the student themselves.
